The American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence (BSCOE) program is available to all surgeons, hospitals, and freestanding outpatient facilities in the United States and Canada.  The goal of the program is to improve safety and quality of care for bariatric surgery patients.  Our program is administered by the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC), an independent healthcare quality organization.  It is the world’s largest center of excellence (COE) program for the specialty, with more than 800 surgeons and 450 facilities currently designated and an additional 300 surgeons and 15 facilities approved for provisional status.
