As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), Heart of Florida Health Center is able to offer most services to patients without insurance on a sliding fee scale. This means that depending on your family income and size, you may be eligible for discounts that will make receiving care more affordable.

Services Available for Established Patients - Children, Teenagers, Adults and Seniors:

    • A health home for patients of all ages.
    • Pediatric program for infants to teenagers
    • Treatment of medical issues.
    • Physical exminations.
    • Management of medical issues including diabetes, asthma, COPD, High Blood Pressure and other chronic conditions.
    • Drug Assistance Program for receiving low cost pharmaceuticals.
    • Coordinated Heart of Florida mental health services.
    • Referral to specialty providers.
    • Family Services.
Heart of Florida Health Center's professional family services include:
    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker on staff.
    • Counseling for children and adolescents.
    • Individual, couple, family counseling and therapy services.
    • Providing community resources including information on support group offerings in Marion County.
    • Pediatric Primary Care.
      The Heart of Florida Health Center strives to give child, parent or guardian information about benefits of healthy lifestyles and practices that promote accident and disease prevention. Their services include:
    • Complete medical examinations, including school or sports physicals.
    • Immunizations.
    • Treatment of medical issues.
    • Education for the management of medical issues.
    • Dental assessments.
    • Coordinated Heart of Florida mental health services.
    • Nebulizer treatments.
    • Developmental assessments.
    • Age appropriate screening.
    • Appointments.
      They every effort to see sick patients with a same day appointment. Routine appointments and appointments for new patients are also required. Walk-ins will be given a scheduled appointment and may be asked to return at a later time. Medicare, Medicaid, insured and self pay patients welcome. Self pay patients MUST bring income verification to appointment because fees are based on a sliding fee scale. Payment is expected at the time of service. It is the insured patient's responsibility to pay the deductible, co-pay, or any balance not covered by insurance.
