The main campus Emergency Department provides care for patients that are in need of emergency care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Munroe Regional Emergency Department has state-of-the-art equipment and the ability to care for trauma and pediatric emergency patients, as well as other medical emergencies.
If you believe your medical condition is not life threatening but merits medical attention, you should call your family physician or visit an urgent care center. If you believe you have an emergency medical condition that requires immediate evaluation and treatment, go to the nearest emergency room. You will also receive a medical screening exam and stabilizing treatment if you have a medical condition that requires emergency care. If it is determined that your condition does not require emergency care, you may be referred to other community resources.
In fiscal year 2009, over 96,000 patients visited the Munroe Emergency Departments.
