The Diabetes Healthways center provides outpatient and inpatient services for the diabetic patient. The experience staff of dieticians, diabetes educators and registered nurses assist the outpatient in learning how to control and manage their diabetes through classes on blood glucose monitoring, medication management, nutrition and meal planning, exercise and stress management, as well as diabetes counseling during pregnancy.

For the inpatient, the diabetic team works with the physician to provide the highest quality of care for the diabetic patient, ensuring that the patient is taught the basic skills needed to manage their disease once they leave Munroe Regional.

There are support groups offered monthly, free of charge, for non-insulin dependent patients, as well as for the patient utilizing an insulin pump.
