Our cutting-edge technology enhances speed, accuracy and patient safety.
Here are some examples of the technology we use:
Shimadzu Digital Safire Cath Lab
The Shimadzu Cath Lab uses SAFIRE digital flat imaging panels that give the physicians instant anatomical images without having to wait. SAFIRE utilizes a patented, state-of-the-art innovative design to record both still and moving images during cardiac and vascular procedures.
Shimadzu's 'cutting edge' SAFIRE technology allows physicians to visualize vessels with greater resolution, which means they can perform procedures more efficiently and safely. Additionally, the greatly increased vessel clarity allows Peripheral Vascular Disease to be easily identified and treated by the physician.
Intervascular Ultrasound (IVUS)
Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS) is a procedure used to look into the coronary arteries of the heart. The physicians use this technology to directly visualize artery size and condition. IVUS is done using a catheter, which is usually inserted into a large blood vessel through the groin area.
Intracardiac Ultrasound (ICE)
Intracardiac Ultrasound (ICE) is a procedure that allows the physician to visualize the inside of the heart. It is used to look at the valves of the heart and determine if there is any abnormal anatomy, such as a hole in the heart. The catheter has a sound probe at the tip that sends out high-frequency sound waves to create "pictures" of the inside of the heart. ICE is done using a catheter, which is usually inserted into a large blood vessel through the groin area.
