On July 13th, Munroe Regional Medical Center's Marketing & Public Relations Department received six awards at the Florida Hospital Association's 45th Annual Florida Society for Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing (FSHPRM) Awards dinner for excellence in Healthcare Marketing.
Munroe Regional received the following awards: Three Mark of Excellence Awards, awarded to the best entry in each category, for Social Media (Avoiding Social Media Pitfalls from the Start - social media policy), External Communications (2010 Community Benefit Report) and Print Advertising (Ask the Doctor Series). The medical center was also awarded three judges Best in Show Awards for Community Outreach (Just Hand CPR), Crisis Communication (VIP Patient Visit) and Writing-Over 500 Words (2010 Munroe Heart Report).
"Our Marketing & Public Relations team takes great pride in having won these awards, but we take greater pride in the fact that we are telling Munroe's story," said Mike Robertson, VP of Strategic Planning & Marketing. "Each of these awards has a connection to the outstanding care and compassion that is provided by our associates, physicians and volunteers throughout our medical center every day."
