Hips

Hip pain is a common symptom experienced by many people. It can range from mild discomfort to severe pain that limits the activities of daily living.

The hip is one of the most stable joints in the body, but the excessive pressure of bearing the body's weight makes it susceptible to arthritis and injury. Pain may involve bone, muscles, tendons, or bursae (small fluid-filled sacs that cushion and lubricate joints). Sports injuries, repetitive motion, traumatic accidents, and of course, arthritis are common causes of hip pain.

At Munroe Orthopedics we understand that the pain, and stiffness of hip problems can limit your active lifestyle.

Our hip specialties include sports, active lifestyle and repetitive motion injuries, arthritis, trauma, fractures and reconstruction, joint repair and replacement, minimally invasive procedures and computer assisted surgery, pediatric orthopedics and workers' compensation.
