Visitors for Caesarean Section Patients
Should you need special help, a delivery room for Caesarean Sections is nearby. Special care, including the following special visitation guidelines, must always be followed when in this surgical area.
If a C-Section is needed to deliver your baby, many things must be done before the surgery. Visitors will be limited to two in the Labor and Delivery suite. Visitors should know that sometimes the doctor, midwife, anesthetist or nursing staff may ask them to wait in the "family waiting room" during certain procedures. Please cooperate.
For mom's and baby's protection, visitors with known or suspected infections are not permitted in the surgical suite.
We are sorry, but due to limited space and the high level of activity, video cameras, video phones and other electronic devices are not permitted in the surgical suite.
One support person may accompany mom to the operating room for the Caesarean Section.
The support person may leave to share the news with family and friends when the new baby is carried to the Nursery. Have your video camera ready to capture the moment. To allow us to give mom the special attention needed after surgery, the support person is the only visitor permitted while in recovery.
Thank you for your understanding.
