Emergency Care

If you are like most people you probably don’t give much thought to needing emergency care. For life-threatening events the closest hospital is the first and only logical option because every second counts. But when choice is possible, knowing the best hospital ahead of time can mean the difference between life and death.

Munroe's Main Campus Emergency Department provides care for patients that are in need of emergency care 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Munroe Regional emergency department has physicians who are all board certified in emergency medicine, state-of-the-art equipment and the ability to care for trauma and pediatric emergency patients, as well as all other medical emergencies.

If you believe you have an emergency medical condition that requires immediate evaluation and treatment, please go to the nearest emergency room. You will always receive a medical screening exam and stabilizing treatment if you have a medical condition that requires emergency treatment. If you believe your medical condition is not life threatening but merits medical attention, you should call your family physician or visit an urgent care center.

Emergency Center at TimberRidge

This full-service, free-standing emergency center, located on SR 200 near the intersection of 484 and across the street from Walmart, offers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, full-service emergency care as Munroe's main campus. The physicians are all board certified in emergency medicine. Munroe's Emergency Center at TimberRidge was the first freestanding emergency department in the state of Florida and is used as a benchmark model for other freestanding emergency centers in the state. Children's Emergency Department

The new full-service Children’s Emergency Department opened its doors on August 20, 2012. It's located on the first floor of Munroe Regional, adjacent to main ER and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Visit the new Children's Emergency Department web page.
