Parent Education Classes
Your newborn baby doesn't come with a "how to" book, but Munroe professionals are ready to share their knowledge and experience.
The following classes are available, FREE of charge, to those who register to deliver at Munroe.

A class designed for first-time parents to prepare for the birth of their child. Classes are taught by certified instructors and topics of discussion include, the last months of pregnancy, labor and birth process, Lamaze breathing and relaxation techniques, exercising, the postpartum period and newborn care.
Time: 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. (Total of 4 classes over 4 weeks) or
9:00 am - 3:00 pm on a Saturday (Total of 1 class)
Sibling Celebration Class
The changing roles in a family mean special attention to the "big brother or sister." This class is designed for children ages 3 - 8 to help prepare them for the arrival of their new brother or sister. A tour of where mom and the baby stay and information about the new baby is explained. Classes meet in the morning and evening for your convenience.

Preparation for Breastfeeding
Helps mom prepare for breastfeeding the newborn and ensuring a warm and rewarding experience. Topics include getting started, infant attachment, breastfeeding obstacles, pumping and storing milk and returning to work.
Time: 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. (Total 1 class)
Baby Basics - Rest assured you will be prepared to care for your new baby. Topics include bathing, feeding, car seat safety, airway and choking emergencies.
Time: 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
