Munroe neurosurgeons specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders or injuries that affect the brain, spinal cord or central and peripheral nervous systems.

Munroe takes a comprehensive approach to treat conditions such as brain and spinal cord tumors, spine disorders, herniated discs, diseases of the brain and spinal cord, epilepsy and other central nervous system diseases, as well as trauma. The breadth of Neurosurgery services offered at Munroe also includes techniques designed to treat and alleviate pain and disability that are caused by neurological and/or spine problems.

Munroe's Neuroscience Center includes a Neurology/Neurosurgery unit, a Neuro Intermediate Care unit, a Neurodiagnostic Center (providing EEG and other tests) and Marion County's first Primary Stroke Center (as recognized by the Joint Commission) which includes a team of specialized professionals who diagnose, treat and care for patients that experience a stroke or "brain attack."
